Put a number on it before you ring anyone.

Ten calculators and checkers for the questions that come up most, and a Will Planner that prepares you for the meeting. They use the current published rates and thresholds. None of them is advice on your own situation, and nothing you type is stored on this site.

How to read a figure from here

Treat it as a range, not a quote. Rates change in the Finance Act, fees set by others change on their own timetable, and a detail in your own case can move the answer a long way. Anything we put in writing to you will be specific to your file.

The Will Planner

Six short steps at the kitchen table, and the first meeting takes twenty minutes instead of an hour.

It never writes a will and never gives advice. It gathers your family, what you own, who benefits and who carries it out, and sends the office a structured note.

“A calculator does not replace advice. It does mean you arrive knowing what to ask.”

What these tools are not

A calculator cannot read your title deeds.

These pages apply published rates to figures you type in. They do not know about a relief you might qualify for, a condition in a will, an earlier gift, or a problem in the title. Any of those can change the answer.

Nothing you enter in a calculator is stored or sent anywhere. The Will Planner sends your answers to the office only when you press send. If you want the figure for your own matter, ring 0818 44 55 66 or send a note through the contact page and we will put it in writing.
