Enduring power of attorney: the how and the why.

A will speaks after death. An enduring power of attorney speaks if illness or injury ever leaves you unable to manage your own affairs while you are alive. About a third of Irish adults have made a will. Research for the Decision Support Service suggests fewer than one in ten have made an EPA. That gap causes real hardship, and it is entirely avoidable.
